About Hive Design
Founded in 2020, The Hive Design Studio is a family run architectural practice driven by experience, care and a genuine love of good design.
Ben Honey leads the studio, bringing over 20 years of industry experience across multiple sectors, including, residential, education, defence and commercial projects.
Claire Honey manages the studio, helping to keep the business organised and focused. As a family run practice, her involvement helps maintain the high standards Hive is known for.
Before founding Hive, Ben worked with both medium and large practices. This experience gave him a strong technical foundation and a clear understanding of how construction projects are managed, buildings are constructed and the planning/ building regulation systems.

As a CIAT Chartered practice, we work to recognised professional standards for design quality, technical accuracy and delivery. Every project is carefully considered and clearly detailed.
We're a registered member of the LABC partnership scheme. This allows us to work with local building control teams. Helping streamline approvals, reduce delays and keep the process clear from start to finish.
